Otterton Village is a small quaint village of lovely period cottages about half a mile from Ladram Bay. On the edge of the village, nestled alongside the River Otter is Otterton Mill.
It is very easy to see why people chose to go to Ladram Bay every summer, with the views, the small picturesque private beach and all of the activities it’s the perfect British holiday break.
It’s quite hard to really fathom the centuries of blood, sweat & tears, thousands of lives and masses of stone it took to build a Cathedral, so every time I visit one I’m a little bit in awe.
Feeling like I’d stepped into a Bronte novel, I sat down and got wrapped up in the incredible beauty of the moors in springtime, listened to the birds and admired the beautiful twisted trees.
Teignmouth is a great place to spend a day playing. Between the parks, the pier, the beach and the town there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Despite the bitter wind and sporadic rain, the town was full of visitors for the annual Lyme Regis Fossil Festival. The festival itself is in it’s 11th year and “seeks to enthuse young people about science, earth sciences in particular.”
