Exeter’s Illustrators are Drawn Together, Guest post by Liz Finnie

Within the RAMM café, each of the 13 illustrators has displayed a selection of one-off, unique and highly captivating artworks. A sneak peak of some of my favourite aspects are shown, but if you want to see the whole picture you will have to visit for yourselves (it’s on for 3 months).

The day Michael Caines broke my vegetarianism at beautiful Lympstone Manor

It was a perfect Spring day with beautiful blue skies and no April rain to be seen, I had been invited along with a small group of local journalists and bloggers. True to form, I arrived half an hour early and had the opportunity to enjoy some coffee on the veranda and take in the breathtaking views across the estuary.

Our Devon staycation in pictures

I am SO tired, keeping two smallies entertained for two weeks is definitely a full time job (I have to admit, I did find myself searching the job sites about four days into the break in desperation). But we made it! Another action packed holiday staying local, here’s an overview of what we got up to…

A very special evening at Visit Exeter’s Launch Party

On Wednesday 29 March I was invited to speak at a very special event, the launch of Visit Exeter at the RAMM (Royal Albert Memorial Museum). The Visit Exeter team engaged Windslide, a local busking band (complete with didgeridoo) to play as people came in the main entrance.  The Exeter Chiefs had a stand nearby where I got to…

We’ve moved! (and things I have learnt about living in the country)

Initially we were devastated (it would be our third move in two years) then it dawned on us that we had a fantastic opportunity to try something new. We had been talking about village / country living for a while and this was our chance to try it out. So when the hubster saw a beautiful country house in a lovely local village for rent – just a few miles from the city centre – it was love at first site.

My week in pictures

We had a fun week, full of activities and I’ve gathered my favourite pictures here for you.

Days out: Brixham Harbour and lunch at Rockfish

Over half term we visited Brixham Harbour in our loaned car from Snows Lexus. Forty five or so minutes from Exeter on the English Riviera, Brixham is a pretty little fishing port seeped in history. We drove through, parked to the right hand side of the harbour (as you look at it) and walked down to…
